Item No. R3xxx, R5xxx & R7xxx
Rohacell IG is a commercial grade, closed-cell expanded polymethacrylimide (PMI) rigid foam for lightweight sandwich construction.
Thin sheets can be thermal formed at relatively low temperatures while thicker sheets will require temperatures of 3380F to 3740F. The required forming temperature depends on the degree of shaping and the density. Rohacell should not be cut with hot wire equipment.
Reactive adhesives such as epoxy and polyester resins should be allowed to cure under sufficient pressure (minimum 1.25 psi) or be very fluid during application so the cells of the foam are will filled. The cure can be accelerated by heat up to 3380F.
